HERN is a successful engineering company based in Námestovo, that focuses on the design, manufacture and sale of components for agricultural, engineering and handling machinery. Customers are multinational companies that are the leaders in their business segments. Companies such as John Deere and Caterpillar have been customers for over 12 years.

Story

We took over ZTS Strojárne Námestovo with a huge operating loss. We have taken radical steps that no one, but us, believed in. We revived a dead company. In the meantime, another test came. When the crisis came in 2009, we immediately understood the magnitude of its impact on engineering business and set a new strategy. We managed the crisis and the company got restarted. We were able to get rid of unnecessary parts and concentrate on the essentials. We restructured and sold the subsidiary company ZTS Doprava We have invested in development and new technologies. We have set ambitious goals and further build upon our reputation as a trusted partner. We have set the goal to double revenue and gain new business partners.

Active project

Cafepoint is a specialized coffeehouse chain, it retails a wide range of coffee, coffee machines and accessories along with the opportunity to taste some of the exclusive coffee in the shops. It serves the modern urban population, catering to individual as well as corporate clientele.

Story

Cafepoint struggled with ineffective management. We saw the hidden possibilities and decided to take over the collapsing Cafepoint. Based on our new vision, we restructured the firm and expanded creating a new chain of stores with a new format and redesigned concept.

Closed project

The company was founded in 2013 after splitting from AGROSPOL ŽELOVCE. The main activity of VermiVital is the production and sale of unique organic and organic-mineral fertilizers. Our participation in this project ended with selling our shares to the co-owners in 2016.

Story

We entered into an inefficiently managed agricultural company in an economically underdeveloped region. We divided activities, started R&D and launched a project for the use of earthworm enzymes. We built a professional team in Záhorce near Veľký Krtíš. We considered the original intention with earthworms as economically unfavourable and we decided to use vermicompost as a fertilizer and soil revitalizer. The dynamic development that we started continues to today.

Closed project

The company is focused on the use of the growing market for hazardous waste management and the removal of old environmental burdens in the Slovak Republic. AGROSPOL utilizes modern technology of enzymatic degradation of waste. At the same time, it operates a unique large-scale composting plant for the treatment of biodegradable waste. Our participation was terminated by a co-owners agreement and by selling our share in 2016.

Closed project

Our management team has established a network of about 45 pharmacies within the Slovak Republic under the brand name Domov zdravia – Home of Health. This network was hosted by SLOVLEK. At present, it's part of Dr. Max. From 2005 - 2011 we were involved with the project as part of the Across investment group.

Story

At the time of the liberation of business with pharmacies, we identified the opportunity and started to create the Home of Health network. We created a new network with additional value that generated steady profit. We were in the right place at the right time and were able to seize the opportunity to make a profitable sale of Domov zdravia – Home of Health.

Closed project

An agricultural enterprise. It was created by the separation of agricultural activities from Agrospol Želovce, Ltd. After a massive operational restructuring of the company and with increasing the efficiency of crop and livestock production, we successfully sold the company to a green energy investor.

A product forwarding company. The company ZTS Doprava was part of the HERN project as an internal supplier of transport services. Today, the company belongs among the major Slovak truck carriers. The transport and forwarding company was founded in 1998 as a subsidiary of ZTS Strojárne, SpA. Our team, in the years from 2009 - 2013, realized the operational consolidation of the company and then made a successful sale of the ZTS Doprava to the Slovak forwarding company TITRANS in 2013.
